So You Thought Break Dance Was Dead? Think Again!

[ad_1]

In the early 1980's, break dance exploded onto the scene and became a national phenomenon that officially ushered in the "Hip-Hop" era. Then in the 90's, the popularity of Rap music dominated the scene, essentially forcing "break dancing" out of the public spotlight and back to its underground origins. That is where break dancing has remained for the past two decades – growing in popularity ¬- evolving and developing a massive following that now spans the globe.

Break dance – which is now mostly referred to as "b-boying" and the dancers called "b-boys" or "b-girls" – is actually a term applied to anyone who identifies with the "break dancer" culture. The B-boy genre – which is largely unnoticed in the US mainstream – is actually as popular today as other forms of popular sports and entertainment. B-boy now generates millions of dollars of revenue through its own network of live events, websites and retail outlets ¬- which sell their own unique brand of B-boy videos, music, apparel and related paraphernalia – and is searched on-line as much as other forms of popular sports and entertainment. B-boy entertainment is viral, a bonafide phenomena that is re-emerging in the US

B-boy – which technically stands for "break or beat-boy" – is the art of traditional break dancing, but now combined with elements of gymnastics and mixed martial arts or what is now known as "tricking". The original form of the dance, which never actually died as most assume, simply went underground where it could find its own home. A place where B-boy's could shine in their own right, away from the negative aspects of modern mainstream Hip-Hop. There it's where it has remained and morphed into an incredible acrobatic-styled dance that is often compared to an Olympic sport.

"You will not see any finer moves in the Olympics" – Ron Wilkerson / Monster and Critics.com

At the center of any B-boy competition is the "Battle"; where two opposing sides – either teams or solo – face each other in a battle of dance supremacy. Many B-boy competitions include choreographed stage presentations – in which they're judged for creativity and showmanship – but the Battle remains the foundation of any B-boy competition.

RedBull & SONY® are two of the largest and most notable sponsors of B-boy competitions worldwide. With several dozen major events held annually, some of the larger events like Battle of The Year and R-16 draw in crowds of over 10,000 and 20,000 respectively. Other notable events like the World B-Boy Championships, FreeStyle Session, Red Bull BC One & Beat Battles boast record breaking attendances into the thousands, and sell out year after year.

These hi-energy contests are incredible displays of creativity, dexterity and agility. The Battles – which are often laced with verbal smack, jostling and chest thumping – are explosive to watch and have often been compared to a WWE match. However, this is unscripted and in the end, with hugs and handshakes all around, there's nothing but respect and honor for ones opponent … that's the B-boy way.

In Europe and Asia, B-boy has exploded, spawning its first set of celebrities in the Korean crew "Last for One", which have been featured in commercials, TV and are regarded as bona-fide celebrities in their country. As a matter of fact, over seas, B-Boy is a booming market for endorsements and sponsorships. So much so that SONY® Europe has even released a B-boy game for their Playstation2 (PS2) and PlayStation Portable (PSP) game platforms.

Like most popular trends, the US lags behind, but there are some very significant signs of a mainstream resurgence here. Leading the way is the documentary Planet B-Boy, which made its debut at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. The film chronicles the trying journey of five of the best B-boy crews, from all around the world, on their way to the Grand Daddy of B-boy competitions, the International "Battle of The Year; which is considered the" World Cup "of B-boying. The movie opened to rave reviews and is being touted as a film of" great significance in the history of B-Boying and Hip Hop "by Dancing.net. The film adaptation of the movie is due out in 2011 .

On television there are several projects in development that feature or highlight break dance, of which is the development of a street styled dance competition created by P-Diddy for MTV and the WORLD B-BOY LEAGUE, a league organization, which will televise "fight league "styled B-boy competitions.

On local a local level, the break dance resurgence can easily be witnessed by visiting your local high school or college. B-boy clubs have sprouted up, in what seems like thousands of college and high school campuses across the country. In most cases, these are legit, school-sanctioned organizations, which are offered right along side chorus, poetry and chess. A search on Google for "break dance clubs, college" turns up dozens of these organizations.

This article just skims the surface of this topic, but clearly demonstrates how the B-boy genre is alive and thriving today. It is unquestionably a viable market and a much more popular force than recognized. The days of your Uncle's head-spins and moonwalks are long gone. B-Boy is not a fad or fodder for a punch line. It's a legitimate art form, a popular sport and a significant element of Hip-Hop culture whose time is well overdue. Break dance never died, it just went back home to change its clothes, and it will be out to play again soon.

"… an important element of dance culture that deserves some legitimate respect. Or perhaps a slot at the Olympics". – Rich Cline / Shadow on the Walls

Ritualistic Tattoo, Are They For You?

[ad_1]

You do not have to be initiated in any religion to get a magic tattoo, but you should know a bit about the basics of the religion, especially to be able to perform the magic sigil creation ritual.

Remember this is not a game, so if you do not believe in what you are doing or you are doing it because can sounds cool to tell some friends that you got a tattoo made during a ritual, you should stop reading this article here as it makes no sense in going through all the ritual work for it. It is actually very offensive to people that spend their lives studying those symbols and subjects.

If you choose a pagan symbol you must know the principals of believes, that have already existed for thousands of years but were recognized and unified by the council of American witches in 1974:

1. We practice rites to attune ourselves with the natural rhythm of life forces marked by the phases of the Moon and the seasonal quarters and cross-quarters.

2. We recognize that our intelligence gives us a unique responsibility toward our environment. We seek to live in harmony with Nature, in ecological balance offering fulfillment to life and consciousness within an evolutionary concept.

3. We acknowledge a depth of power far greater than is apparent to the average person. Because it is far greater than ordinary, it is sometimes called "supernatural," but we see it as lying within that which is naturally potential to all.

4. We conceive of the Creative Power in the Universe as manifesting through polarity-as masculine and feminine-and that this same creative Power lives in all people, and functions through the interaction of the masculine and feminine. We value neither above the other, knowing each to be supportive of the other. We value sexuality as pleasure, as the symbol and embodiment of Life, and as one of the sources of energies used in magical practice and religious worship.

5. We recognize both outer worlds and inner, or psychological worlds-sometimes known as the Spiritual World, the Collective Unconscious, the Inner Planes, etc.- and we see in the interaction of these two dimensions the basis for paranormal phenomena and magical exercises . We neglect neither dimension for the other, seeing both as necessary for our fulfillment.

6. We do not recognize any authoritarian hierarchy, but do honor those who teach, respect those who share their greater knowledge and wisdom, and acknowledge those who have courageously given of themselves in leadership.

7. We see religion, magic, and wisdom-in-living as being united in the way one views the world and lives within it-a world view and philosophy of life, which we identify as Witchcraft of the Wiccan Way.

8. Calling oneself "Witch" does not make a Witch-but neither does heredity itself, or the collecting of titles, degrees, and initiations. A Witch seeks to control the forces within him / herself that make life possible in order to live wisely and well, without harm to others, and in harmony with Nature.

9. We acknowledge that it is the affirmation and fulfillment of life, in a continuation of evolution and development of consciousness, that gives meaning to the Universe we know, and to our personal role within it.

10. Our only animosity toward Christianity, or toward any other religion of philosophy-of-life, is to the extent that its institutions have claimed to be "the one true right and only way" and have sought to deny freedom to others and to suppress other ways of religious practices and belief.

11. As American Witches, we are not threatened by debates on the history of the Craft, the origins of various terms, the legitimacy of various aspects of different traditions. We are concerned with our present, and our future.

12. We do not accept the concept of "absolute evil", nor do we worship any entity known as "Satan" or "the Devil" as defined by Christian Tradition. We do not seek power through the suffering of others, nor do we accept the concept that personal benefits can only be derived by denial to another.

13. We work within Nature for that which is contributory to our health and well-being.

If you do not agree with those rules you should stop the idea of a Wiccan ritual tattoo here. Perhaps just stick with something more basic for now. If you do agree with those, before you precede you should also know the rule of four:

"The Four Cornerstones of Wicca"

To know: Knowledge is the key of life.
To dare: Face your fears, but be cautious, some forces are much bigger than any human.
To will: The key for the success is to never give up.
To be silent: Never share your magic projects with anyone, they are yours, by sharing them you can bring up on yourself a great deal of sorrow and put others in harm. What goes against the most important of the wiccans believes: the karma law.

If you agree with all the above, now you a step closer from your goal, the ritual tattoo:
You will not need all the tools of a real Wiccan; some basic tools will be more than enough for this simple ritual.

1) You will need to create a magic circle. A magic circle is a safe place created to perform any ritual. While inside this circle you will be in what we know as in between worlds. This circle will protect you from non-wanted forces, but they have to be non-wanted, so if you fear or keep them in mind while the ritual happens you are inviting them in to it. Never fear the unknown, respect it, and if while inside the circle there are some forces that you do not feel comfortable with, try to persuade them, just very politely explain your reasons and ask them to leave your circle. If they do not leave, never panic; ask the elements and the superior gods and goddesses to take them away from that sacred space.

2) You must know the elements position, because you will have to place something related to those elements in the quarters of your circle:

Water has to be to east of you (rules the emotions, feelings, love, courage, rivers, springs, wells, emotional intuition, mystery, birth, blood, the unconscious mind, the womb, generation and beginnings, fertility, charity) You can represent it with a beautiful jar or a nice container with the most pure water that you can find.

Air is south of you (rules the mind, all mental, intuitive and psychic work, knowledge, abstract learning, theory, windswept hills, plains, windy beaches, high mountain peaks, wind and breath, creativity of the mind, ideas and ideologies) , honor it with a good quality incense, no matter the scent of it, choose one that pleases you.

Fire is west of you (rules energy, spirit of the flesh, heat, flame, strong passions, sap, life, the will, destruction and purification, bonfires, hearth fires, and candle flames, sun, deserts, volcanoes, hope, youth , courage of the heart, violence), use a candle to keep the element present at all the times.

Earth is north of you (rules the body, growth, nature, sustenance, material gain, healing, money, business, death, silence, chasms, caves, caverns, groves, fields, rocks, standing stones, mountains, metal, bones, structures, grounding and centering, strength, fortitude, stability, nurturing, hunting, laws, understanding, old age, wisdom), you can represent it with a beautiful vase with a planted tree or flowers.

3) There is no right or wrong way to create a circle, but before you start you have to take a bath or a shower with sea salt, and keep your mind as clear and open to good energies as possible. The place you choose has to be really clean and have a good harmonic feeling to it. If you do not feel comfortable in the room do not open your circle there. Take all the tools you need, remember they have to be new, you will not need much not even an altar, since you are not a wiccan, and by following this small guide to help you with the basics of the creation of magic sigil or turning your future symbol tattooed in something blessed by the high spirits, so you will need some paper, coloring material, and the chosen symbols, just in case, bring some extra images and alternatives to your idea.

4) Sit and relax, take a deep breath, when you feel ready ask the guardians of the Universe the permission to start. With sea salt draw a circle on the floor, the circle has to be big enough so you can move inside. There is no need to create really huge spaces, is easier to control smaller circles.

5) You do not need to use any special words or chants, just keep focus in what you are doing. Most of the times those words will actually come to you, remember the idea is to have a pure blessed place, so use words related to blessing, no to negative spirits, do not think about one god in specific, keep the mind open for all of the old gods.

6) Walk around the circle three times, the first time just ask for protection, the second time go around sprinkling salt water, saying things related to purification of the space and asking for permission from the water and earth. And for last go around with the incense asking for the blessing of the air and fire.

7) Now you should direct yourself to each element quarter, starting with the east, south, west and last to the north and call the guardians of each element, do not call the element itself, you are not skilled enough to do so.

8) Once this is all done, call the presence of the superior gods, usually a male and a female presence, do not name them, if they want they will allow you to know their names. Sometimes you will only get one of them, and trust me it is more than enough. Ask permission to create your symbol, explaining your reasons and promising your eternal appreciation, so if you are not ready for honor this tattoo while you live, you should not go ahead with the ritual. Only then ask for permission to sit down and draw something that will be on your body for the rest of your life.

9) Ask for the blessing of the tools that you will use.

10) Just sit in the center of the circle and allow images to come to you. Never try chit chat with the entities present, specially to give details of something that you do not really mean, ask straight away what you want with the tattoo: if you want luck, money or love, be clear and direct, do not try to please the gods with half truths or with promises, it does not help to get your sigil or image more or less blessed. Some entities are more patient than others. Some are actually quite curious and will want to hear as much as they can. By the way, most of the time you will not be able to see the entity, but you will definitely feel its presence. If you see them, never look them straight in their eyes, unless they allow you to do so. Never try to touch them; in rare cases they will actually touch you. If it happens, feel really blessed. Try to not freak out. Not even the gods like people sucking up openly.

11) Only now start to create your sigil, let your hands and mind be as open as possible to new ideas. Just remember, no real supreme power would tell you to invert symbols, the same way you are respecting their presence they will respect your wishes and devotion. So keep combining the images until you feel that the final drawing is perfect, trust me you will feel it when it is right very strongly.

12) You do not have to ask the god or goddess to leave, just thank them when you feel that they are about to go. Most of the time they will remain with you only while it is essential. After you are sure that they left you should start to free the other spirits present. Do not worry if you fall asleep before freeing the guardians. It is an extremely strong process, and they know that you are not fully in control of the experience. They will probably look after you in your sleep. Sometimes amazing revelations will come to you while sleeping. Remember to never force the sleep process, if it happens see it as a bonus.

13) Sleeping or not before leaving the circle you will have to thank the guardians of the elements. Now once more starting from the east, get the blessing from the four of them. Now you have your magic sigil or your blessed symbol … the next step is to find a tattoo artist.

By the way, never throw the material used to cast the circle in the ordinary garbage or blow the candles. Let the candles burn or extinguish the flame with your fingers, yes you can wet them first, so they do not get burned. If you have the chance; plant the tree or the flowers in a garden, use the water to wash your body and the incense will probably be done by the time you finish.

How can you know for sure if the ritual worked? It is a very personal thing, most of the time you will feel really tiered, and full of inner peace, there will not be room for bad feelings and even tired you will feel really protected by a force stronger than ever.

Now let's go and look for the tattoo artist.

If the tattoo artist has any experience with the old ways or not is not really relevant. Perhaps it is actually better if he is just a really open minded person. The most important thing is that you believe in what you are doing. Be serious, because you will be conducting a ritual, do not feel shy and pay tons of attention to the smallest details. You are responsible for the protection of the circle.

You will have to tell him before hand that it is a ritual made tattoo and that he will need to be part of a circle casting ritual before tattooing it on you. He must feel comfortable doing it. If he does not he is not your guy.

The studio has to be empty, only you and the artist. You can not tell him the meaning of your image, especially if it is a sigil. Try to do it in a quiet time, no phones or people knocking at the door.

You will have follow the same steps used to cast the initial circle, just this time instead of blessing the drawing material you will be asking for blessing the place, the ink and the hands of the artist.

The tattoo artist has to remain all the times inside of the circle, and the only thing that you have to tell him is to keep his mind clear, if any thoughts come to his mind he has to stop the tattooing, take a deep breath and just go back to concentrate on the lines that he is making. While you have to keep in mind the meaning of it and keep asking for the god present in this ritual for protection and guidance. It might not be the same entity as present during the first ritual. Remember to just accept whoever comes and not ask why the other one is not there … I guess I do not have to explain why, do I?

As already mentioned above the place to tattoo the sigil or the symbol has to be as hidden as possible. It is definitely not a tattoo to show.

One of the strange things about those tattoos is that they do not hurt. You will not even feel the process happening, and as much as my tattoo artist told me about the experience he felt something really powerful, like if the lines guided him instead he guiding the lines. Usually the process will be really fast, the place might hurt after, as it is normal when you get a tattoo, even though it probably will hurt much less and in some cases not hurt at all. One thing that is not common with those tattoos is for them to get infected; the healing is really fast, as if your skin just accepts and easily absorbs the inscription.

5 Signs You Are in the Wrong Tattoo Shop

[ad_1]

1. Smells Bad – Tattoo shops should smell like cleaning products and sterile air, if you walked into tattoo shop and have been greeted by a big puff of smoke, or other foul odor you may be in the wrong place. The owners of the tattoo shop and the artist not caring about how the shop smells is a good indicator that the level of sterilization may be low.

2. Animals – At some parlors the owner will have a snake cage set up or a dog running around. This is a violation of most states health codes and either way is a disgusting situation always avoid any tattoo shop where animals are present. Beside the smell the presence of animals compromises any sterile zone the artist may have set up.

3. Dirty Employees – Employees of tattoo shops should be clean wearing not only sterile gloves and using sterile equipment. But there personal hygiene should also be high. If the tattoo artist you have chosen is dirty, has ink or other stains on there clothes, you may want to leave. If the artist is not keeping his own person clean his working area is probably in similar disarray.

4. Foul Bathroom – Check out the bathroom in the tattoo shop you plan to go to in advance. Does it look and smell clean? The look of the bathroom will give you an idea of the level of cleanliness in the business. If the employees take a nonchalant attitude to the bathrooms cleanliness they may also be nonchalant in the cleaning of there personal stations.

5. "Sorry We Are Out Of … Ink" – Nothing says you are in the wrong shop like "sorry we are out of ink". Maybe its black ink or red or green, but the question is the same how can a tattoo shop run out of anything, much less tattoo ink. It happens all the time, it is usually the sign of a tattoo artist who does not want to do the work. But even if the shop is really out of a particular color of tattoo ink it is still a good sign you are in the wrong shop.

Benefits of TCA Peels For Tattoo and Permanent Makeup Removal

[ad_1]

When you are looking to get a tattoo, you are looking towards getting something that will be forever, but what if you change your mind? The truth of the matter is that the only thing that we can really count on is change, and sometimes, a tattoo that you got months or years or decades ago might not really suit your life anymore. In other cases, you may find that you are no longer pleased with the permanent makeup that you have gotten, or you may be in a place where you are looking to try something else When you are looking to get rid of a tattoo, no matter why you got it in the first place, you will find that taking a look at TCA peels might be just what you are looking to do.

A TCA peel stands for a Trichloroacetic Acid peel and it is a process that has been used by cosmetic dermatologists to treat conditions as different as wrinkle reduction, relief from acne scars and the removal of fine lines. This treatment is one that is quite potent, and you will find that it is also extremely effective. There are many treatments out there when it comes to tattoo removal, but you will find that with a little bit of research that looking at TCA tattoo removal may be your most effective and economic option.

When you are looking at TCA peels, you will also find that you are using something that has a real history. The use of chemical peels to remove unwanted areas of skin as been practiced for centuries, and it was within the last twenty to thirty years that dermatologists have started looking into seeing how they can be used to give a controlled reaction from the chemicals that were in use.

It was discovered that TCA peels gave the best and most consistent results. Essentially, the TCA peel results in a controlled burn that will take off several layers of skin at once and revealing the fresh skin underneath. It is important to make sure that only a 20-45% TCA solution is used; if a stronger solution is used, there is a chance that there will be some chance of scarring and darkening of the skin.

When you are looking at the TCA peel, you might be wondering what goes into it. The truth is that it is very simple and straightforward. Despite the word "acid," a TCA peel is actually not as painful as the other methods that are commonly used to get rid of tattoos. At the end of the treatment, many people compare it to sunburn or windburn. You will find that you also have the option of doing at home, on your own or having a dermatologist do it. Whether you choose to go the solo route or to get a professional to do it for you is largely considered up to you. You will find that it all depends on how steady your hand is.

How does TCA remove a tattoo? Essentially , when you get ready to use a TCA peel, you will swab up some of the acid on a q-tip and then you will distribute it on your skin. Essentially, the chemical peel will create an inflammation in the skin above the tattoo. This inflammation will make the ink in your tattoo break apart and then travel to the top of the layer of dead skin, even as new skin is forming underneath this. One of the real advantages of this method is that the acid is just providing the catalyst for your body doing what it would be doing anyway. Although there is no bona fide natural process for getting rid of a tattoo, this one might come the closest.

In two weeks, often less, you will find that the treated skin will peel off. After the skin has sloughed off of your body, you will often find that the tattoo in question is significantly lighter in shade, but that it is definitely not gone yet. A TCA peel will often take multiple sessions to do its work completely, and it will be safe to do another one in roughly six weeks. While you will find that TCA peels can be applied sooner, it is actually best to wait and to let all of traces of the chemical peel leave your body before trying another one. When you are looking for complete removal of a tattoo, remember that you might be looking at several sessions before you get the result that you are after. You will also find that darker colors tend to take longer to fade than lighter ones.

When you are looking at the risks that go along with this treatment, do keep in mind that everyone reacts differently to things. For instance, if you have very sensitive skin, you will want to consult with a dermatologist before you try this procedure, and you might find that you want a professional to help you take care of it. On the other hand, you may find that if you have been working with a 20% solution and that you are not getting the results that you want that you should find a different formula that will give you a more dramatic result.

If you are in a place where you are looking to remove a tattoo or permanent makeup, you will find that figuring out what a TCA peel can do for you is an important thing. Take some time and make sure that you think about the results that you are looking for, and if you have any doubts, take the time to run them by a dermatologist. When you want a clean slate in more ways than one, take some time and figure out what this treatment can do for you!

One more extremely important item to remember is that "Not all TCAs are Created Equal!" This is to say that many sellers of TCA are not reputable. Some even sell diluted solutions at exorbitant prices.

Some will actually sell you the TCA without any real directions on how to safely apply and use it. THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS!

It is always best to find a TCA manufacturer / supplier / seller that has a proven Track Record of client results and actual photos.

When you do find the right TCA Tattoo Removal Kit, you will "know" it! You will find that there are kits that are professionally produced and manufactured. They will have outstanding prices, low worldwide shipping, and come with totally complete instructions on how to use and apply it. YOU CAN NOT HELP BUT SEE THE TOTAL PROFESSIONALISM. Visible results and safety are paramount!

Movie Vs Book – Which Do You Prefer?

[ad_1]

If you asked anyone today the following question; "Movie vs book, which do you prefer?" The popular answer would be a movie if the demographic were 21 or under. Since movies are far and above a much sexier entertainment medium, most people would rather be entertained with a higher level experience that combines visual and audio effects to stimulate the senses.

There is no doubt that movies and film have penetrated deep into our society and culture. Movies can stimulate and influence attitudes and drive major behaviors across a mass audience. Whether blockbuster action films or love stories that tug at our heart strings, movies try to deliver a promise that the audience will be taken into another place and time where fantasy and reality are easily crossed.

The question then becomes, is a Movie really a better entertainment medium for those who have read the book? Most often than not, the customer would say "No, the book was better". This then begs the question, why are we biased toward a story that resides on plain white paper as better entertainment than any studio can muster on the big screen with mega budgets and high profile stars? The answer is imagination.

When reading a book, we are so engrossed into the story line that our mind's eye has crafted a picture and emotional response that is highly intense and real. With this in mind, a movie production would be hard pressed to match what we already have formed within our mental file cabinet.

So why do not more people read "a good book" on a lazy afternoon, rather than plunk down 10 bucks on a quick fix? The answer is time. Comparatively speaking, the amount of time an individual needs to escape into a good book is a much more significant commitment. With time being a major factor, we are naturally drawn into the marketing machine that influences our decision to make a minor time commitment of a couple of hours vs several days.

In conclusion, when asked "Movie vs Book, which is better?" the book will probably be the answer most given.

Why Tattoos Fade and What You Can Do About it

[ad_1]

The flip side of using permanent pigments is that the best ones are hazardous for human beings. Thus, the industry is left with a few viable alternatives. In most cases, quite light and permanent colors are used on humans. However, this may change. In the case of colors like yellow, purple, orange or magenta, the bleach fighting or the fade resistance capability of these colors may not be high. The colors fade due to the harmful ultraviolet rays of which the most importance source is the sun.

Getting a tattoo imprinted on your body does not mean that you need to hide or stay away from the sun. The excessive exposure in the sunlight may fade tattoos. But the rate of fading of tattoos is the same as our skin suffers from pigmentation when we are exposed to sunlight.

The application of the tattoos also plays an important role. The more experienced the artist, the better is the application of the pigment. This leads to the less fading of the tattoos.

It should also be kept in mind that the new tattoos seem to carry more ink in them. This is due to the presence of ink in both the dermis as well as the epidermis. However, the presence of ink in the epidermis branches out with the skin and consequently the tattoo fades away usually in the first or second year. This can be avoided if a skilled artist takes appropriate amount of time to get the tattoo done in the right way. Therefore, the artist should not be too speedy. We should consider it as a case of pixels in the digitalized photograph. The application of tattoo if done hastily can lead to lesser amount of ink striking into the skin. The tattoo would look nice in the initial years but then starts fading in the subsequent years. It is comparable to putting the printer to a fast mode rather than the best mode. The one which is fast gets faded fast but the other which comes out slowly looks bright and nice and stays the same for a longer period of time. The tattoo looks nice in the initial years because the ink is in the epidermis but slowly it starts fading out as the new skin comes out.

People often complain that their tattoo looks much older which in reality is the opposite. This can happen due to excessive exposure to the sun or negligence during the healing process or it may be the case that the pigment was not applied by the artist in the right manner.

As the skin grows old, the tattoo also becomes aged. This is an important fact that needs to be understood. If you want that the tattoo should always look beautiful and vibrant, then you need to take care of your skin. By doing so, the tattoo will also look fresh and nice.

Great Outdoor Games Versus Video Games – The Great Debate

[ad_1]

Many members of the older generation happily recall the days when back yard games – played outside — were the recreational activities of choice. Technological advancements have evolved into the overarching popularity of tech games. Today's generation wants, even demands, fasted paced entertainment with more techno-enhancements than ever. Top of the demand list? More interactive games.

Great outdoor games are the basis of interactive recreation. Really? Interactive techno video games versus classic lawn games? The great debate is on! Here's out totally unbiased comparison of the two 'platforms.'

Back Yard Games- Back to Basics

You can not have a debate on great outdoor games versus high tech without looking to where it all began. Before the Xbox, Playstation, or even Nintendo were even invented, people played the back yard games for recreation and entertainment. They were (and still are) used as a social 'glue' to bring people together for a common goal. Whether it's Bocce Ball, Badminton, Croquet or Tetherball, there is a classic back yard game for everyone.

There are even a wide variety of back yard activities geared entirely focused on kids. No matter who you are, the entertainment options for the great outdoors are a fun and very social experience.

Tech Entertainment – The Latest and Greatest?

The newcomer in the back yard games versus video games debate is, obviously, the video game. Video fans 'live for' the interaction they can experience while they are playing solo.

There is a smorgasbord of games and techno-complexities and platforms to choose from. Just like great outdoor games, there is something for everybody. From ninja combat to fantasy sports to racing games to cooking competitions, in this area, there is something for everyone as well.

Some tech gamers argue that, undeniably, sheer volume of popular play requires that video games should win the classic lawn games versus high tech games debate, hands down. Not so fast.

While video games are extremely huge, they just are not, can never or ever will be as social and human connectedness driven as classic lawn games. Talking through a virtual network through a headset is never going to be the same as direct eye to eye contact and human interaction with friends and family. Never, ever.

The Verdict

Of course, the bottom line in this debate as far as we're concerned is that the object is to have fun. Fun is personal preference which can change from time to time.

Here's an idea: maybe you do not have to choose between the two. You can have both. With friends, family and co-operative weather, do not overlook the value and importance of classic lawn games. Save the video games for the bad weather.

When it some to the great outdoor games versus video games debate, the answer is' everything in its time and place, moderation and there is room for both. They really do serve different purposes; they offer different ways of having fun. And fun is always a good thing.

What is a Dual Zone Car DVD Player?

[ad_1]

Knowing the answer to the question "What is a dual zone car DVD player?" can come in handy when the time has come to take the old jalopy down to the car stereo place and really begin getting it set up to be the rolling entertainment center it always wanted to be.

These days, having a good car DVD installed is almost mandatory if one hopes to be taken seriously as a true rolling-entertainment-center-on-wheels connoisseur. There's a question within that question above, though, and that deals with car DVD player zones.

Basically, what this means is that the car DVD is able to operate both as the entertainment center you want it to be while also carrying out other vital functions such as GPS navigation. A single zone player can only do one or the other, by the way, meaning that it can be a GPS device or an entertainment device but not both at the same time.

Dual zone car DVD players work on certain principles that basically have to do with how the computer and microprocessor chip in the unit divides up its assigned tasks. It's all very simple nowadays, and a processor will handle doling out available resources to keep not only the movies (and the good times) going but also keep you from getting lost while out on the wide-open road. This is a wonderful thing, it must be said.

There are a great many advantages to spending the relatively paltry extra money involved in getting a dual zone car DVD player. For one, you will not have to install some other sort of sound system if you go with a dual zone, which is something you have to do if you go with a single zone unit. For another, dual zone players just seem to be more capable at everything they do. This should not be underestimated as a factor.

The easiest way to tell if you have a single or dual zone car DVD player is to check to see if the player can not only play its music or movies but also perform another task or function while doing so. If it can, you're golden. If it can not, maybe it's time to upgrade a little. Problems involved in DVD zones usually have to do with spillover or interference with navigation, but that's pretty much about it. As long as there's sufficient processing power, everything's good.

Nowadays, a high quality dual zone car DVD player can be found at a certain very famous online auction site for well under $ 300. A 7 inch screen, iPod capability and GPS navigation are standard, along with the player being pretty much universal in terms of dashboards it can fit into. Just keep in mind that you want a dual zone, so always check to make sure it can handle two different tasks at the same time.
